Church camp

Church camp was a blast! I'm glad and thankful that there was an opportunity for me to go. Fellowship with the the members of the body of Christ was great, the games were fun and bonded us all together, but what i loved most about it was the ample time to make new friends, the memorable and inspiring group discussions, and just being transformed all over again. Although it was a gospel camp, Daniel was right to say that for believers like most of us, every message and experience was a new, refreshing one as there was always something that you can take back. In particular, I felt extremely inspired by this young leader of our group, who despite being only 18 years old, he kept the group together and was extremely honest in his sharings and testimonials. Truly amazing! The kids were all rather playful, especially the young boys, while the younger kids were initially quiet, but when you start opening up to them, they have this ability to reciprocate with zest and enthusiasm, as though whatever you said to them sparked off something in them. The non-believers who came to the camp did have a fun time, and our dear lil Kim accepted Christ! Kudos to that! Even though it mother-nature turned on her spate of fury and sent us showers of blessings halfway through the amazing race, it was all in all a fun, and very tiring time running from place to place over the East of Singapore. I can just imagine all the effort put in by the Games committee in coming up with the Roadblocks (Five mathematical questions for a Maths whiz in your team to do), the detours (singing and taking a pic with three separate individual strangers or memorising three Psalms.), Broken-telephone charades, treasure hunt, and not forgetting the sacrifice one player in your team had to made- A traditional Malay Barber Hair-cut! Kudos to the sporting Jarvis in our team!

The experience in the camp was wonderful and Im glad that I was able to help teach the younger and eager enthusiastic boys and girls a thing or two about guitar-playing , courtesy of Chris's and Jon's expensive guitars :P. Haha.
